Alpine experiences in Lombardy

The Alpine Valleys offer enchanting and breathtaking landscapes well-known all over the world, and that You cannot miss! This mini-group tour brings you in the northern of Lombardy region to live experiences of different kinds and giving great emotions.


After two nights in Milan, always be loved and admired over the times, for its art and culture, for its architecture, for its design. Together with Your private local guide You will visit its historic highlights  and then You will have time to explore its hidden districts or to visit the area of Navigli with lots of night bars and restaurants, the perfect place to spend Your evening  in an amusing atmosphere.


Travelling towards the Alpine district, the coach stops in the famous Bellagio on Lake Como, so charming to have been chosen as movie set. You can stroll through its streets and admire the majestic staircases and beautiful villas.


Your Alpine experiences begin in Tirano, a small village famous for its highly decorated sanctuary. Here You will catch the Bernina Express, a famous panoramic train going along a route named UNESCO World Heritage site. Staying in your 1° class carriage You will travel through majestic natural environments, so different but equally wonderful according to the season. You can admire the impressive viaducts and bridges and the surroundings mountains and reach the highest point of this railway at 2.253m a.s.l.


After the sightseeing of the skiing location of St. Moritz in Switzerland, Your driver brings Your group to Ponte di Legno, an important town, well-known for its trekking pathsits skilifts for winter sports and the nearby Stelvio N.P., the widest national park in Europe. You will stay in Ponte di Legno for three nights and You will have the opportunity  not only to visit this enchanting town but also to try an exciting sport experience with the Husky dogs: in summer the Husky trekking, in winter the dog sled, to drive a sled pulled by these intelligent dogs. Together with a qualified guide You can explore this enchanting mountain area issuing commands  to the Husky dogs linked to You by a harness. This activity lasts about 1 hour and is with a minigroup of maximum 8/10 guests.


To end Your tour in a relaxing way,  You can spend 5/6 hours at the Bormio bathsfamous for their therapeutic waters at a temperature of 36°-42° C.

Day 1: Milan

Arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport. Transfer and accommodation in Your 4* selected hotel centrally located.

Day 2: Milan

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. In the morning private city tour of Milan with a local guide, to discover one of the world’s fashion capital and home to the Italian style. Return back to the hotel.


Day 3: Milan - Bellagio - Tirano

After breakfast head towards the Valtellina, a mountain district in the hearth of the Alps. Along the route stop in the famous charming village of Bellagio for a sightseeing tour. Transfer to Tirano, one of the most important villages of Valtellina. Time at disposal for a walking guided tour. Check in and overnight in Your 4* selected hotel in Tirano.

Day 4: Tirano - Bernina Express - Ponte di Legno

After breakfast morning at disposal for individual visits and shopping. After lunch catch the famous Bernina Express panoramic train to reach St. Moritz in Switzerland. After a sightseeing tour in St. Moritz, transfer to Ponte di Legno, in the Valle Camonica, one of the largest valley of the Alps. Check in and overnight in Your 4* selected hotel in Ponte di Legno.

Day 5: Ponte di Legno - Sled Dog / Husky Trekking Experience

After breakfast sport experience together with the Husky dogs. According to the season, this experience will be Sleddog in winter or Husky trekking in summer. Afternoon at disposal for individual visits or to relax. Return back to the hotel.

Day 6: Ponte di Legno - Bormio Baths

After breakfast transfer to Bormio at 1.225m a.s.l. to spend a relaxing day at its famous baths. Transfer back to Ponte di Legno. Overnight in Ponte di Legno.

Day 7: Ponte di Legno - Milan

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Milan and time at disposal for individual visits and shopping. Check in and overnight in Your 4* selected hotel centrally located.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast check out and transfer to Milan Malpensa Airport.

Milan is the capital of Lombardy, the richest and most populated region in Italy. Ancient and modern at the same time is the undisputed world’s capital of fashion, design, commerce and finance. Milan has a vibrant cultural life: art exhibitions, theatre performances, music festivals and famous opera house La Scala Theatre. Private guided walking tour of Milan to see the main highlights of the city. Visit of the well preserved Sforza Castle with its medieval and Renaissance style, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Duomo Square, Duomo, the Cathedral of Milan, a great example of Italian Gothic style. Bellagio lies on the central headland of the lake and is one of the most appreciated tourist locations all over the world. For its beauty Bellagio has been chosen as set for film productions since ‘60s. Sightseeing tour together with Your assistant to visit this town inhabited from prehistoric times.    


The mountain district of Valtellina, in the hearth of the Lombard Alps, is known for the beauty of its mountains and to be one of the favorite destinations of lovers of winter sports. Tirano is an ancient town and thanks to its position it was an important crossroads wanted by Ludovico il Moro. Private walking tour with a local guide to see the Madonna di Tirano Sanctuary built in 1500 after the apparition of the Virgin to Mario Omodei, a majestic example of elegant Renaissance style. Walking through the city centre you can see some Liberty- style buildings and the remains of the old hospice of St. Michael.    


The Bernina Express is a Swiss train running along a route named World Heritage Site by UNESCO thanks to the majestic landscape that can be admired thanks to the panoramic carriages. It is interesting also for an engineering and architecture point of view as the whole route is made-up of 55 tunnels and covered galleries, 196 viaducts and bridges, high slopes, and it reaches its maximum altitude at the Bernina Pass at 2.253 m above sea level (the minimum one is in Tirano at 429m a.s.l.). Together with Your assistant You travel through breathtaking panoramas, different according to the season but always majestic and unforgettable. You travel in 1° class panoramic carriages from Tirano to St. Moritz, for over 2 hours. Sightseeing of St. Moritz together with your assistant, to visit one the most tourist locations in Switzerland, chosen also for the World Championships of Alpine skiing.    


The Valle Camonica is one of the largest valley of the Alps, near the worldwide famous Stelvio National Park and the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. Crossed by the Oglio River, this valley is the home of one of the biggest  collections in the world of prehistoric rock art, that’s the reason why it was named World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1979. Ponte di Legno (the name means “wooden bridge”) is a wonderful town in Valcamonica, surrounded by an enchanting mountain landscape. Its name comes from an ancient bridge over the Oglio River, built at the point where people stopped to admire the river. It has ancient origins, back to the Lombard rule; the first document mentioning this village dates back to 791 b.C.    


The contact with the impressive nature and the relationship with the intelligent Husky dogs will give you great emotions and an unforgettable experience. Together with qualified guides you can experience the Husky trekking in summer or the dog sled in winter. The dog sled experience allows you to drive a light and durable sled pulled by the Husky dogs through the wonderful snow covered landscape. The Husky trekking is a walking together with the dogs, harnessed and linked to you so that you can issue commands to them easily. You walk through the mountains of the Adamello and Stelvio Parks, along paths that can be chosen with the guide according to the wishes and the needs of the participants. The experience lasts about 1 hour and is together with a minigroup of 8/10 guests.    


Bormio is an ancient town famous for its warm waters with therapeutic effects known already in the 6th century b.C. Its baths have a temperature between 36° and 42° C and have detoxifying, relaxing and anti-inflammatory properties. The Bormio baths include the “Bagni Vecchi”, the old ones in a charming place near the ancient church of St. Martin and overlooking the natural beautiful environment, and the “Bagni Nuovi”, the modern ones with swimming pools, whirlpools, saunas.  Today you can choose to stay at the Bagni Vecchi or Bagni Nuovi to relax (5/6 hours).
