Located between Bergamo and Brescia, Lake Iseo, also known as Sebino Lake, is the quintessential ‘undiscovered gem’. Our tour will offer You a pleasant and quiet stay in the peaceful atmosphere of the lake and its mountain landscape. You will start by visiting the genuine and picturesque village of Crespi d’Adda, built by the Crespi family, around their cotton manufacturing mill. The small town is a fantastic example of urban-industrial architecture of the late 1800s.

 

Depart on a calm, quiet and very relaxing excursion to Monte Isola, which is Europe’s largest inhabited lake islands, home to old fishermen’s villages and castles. You can often see the fishermen at work on their “naecc”, traditional local boats. Circumnavigation around Loreto, the smallest island of lake Iseo, and the other small island of San Paolo, owned by the Beretta family, who export weapons all over the world.

 

You will have the opportunity to spend a day in the famous Spa area of Boario Terme, situated at the beginning of the mountains of Camonica Valley. Included the access to the Spa with different kind of treatments. Ending this relaxing experience a stop in a chalet or a farm house for a tasting of the tipical cheese of the Brescia territory.

 

The tour also features the visit of the Malpaga Castle, in the province of Bergamo. A timeless and charming place, whom main features are the great interior rooms frescoed by the Renaissance painter Il Romanino.

 

Before heading towards Malpensa Airport, take a stroll along the Franciacorta countryside, well loved for its high-end sparkling wines. Enjoy a guided visit of the antique wine cellar of Castello Bonomi and of its vineyard with a tasting of the famous Franciacorta wines.

Day 1: Malpensa Airport - Crespi D'Adda

Arrival at Milan Malpensa Airport and transfer towards Iseo Lake. First stop in Crespi d’Adda, a genuine and picturesque village. According to the flight details possibility to add lunch or dinner in the old typical trattoria Da Mualdo, offering  traditional local cuisine. Check in and overnight in Your 4* selected hotel in Iseo Lake area.

Day 2: Boat tour with Monte Isola

After breakfast full day excursion by private boat. Enjoy a relaxing an interesting cruise on the lake. Explore its three islands : Montisola, San Paolo and Loreto. Return back to the hotel.

Day 3: Boario Terme and Valcamonica

After breakfast head towards the top of the lake until Boario Terme, a famous Spa area situated at the beginning of the mountains of Camonica Valley. Spend a day in this marvelous SPA with different kind of treatments. In the afternoon stop in a chalet or farm house for a tasting of the tipical cheese of the Brescia territory. Return back to the hotel.

Day 4: Castello di Malpaga - Franciacorta - Malpensa Airport

After breakfast visit of Malpaga Castle, in the province of Bergamo. Drive along the Franciacorta countryside, well loved for its high-end sparkling wines. Enjoy a guided visit of the antique wine cellar of Castello Bonomi and of its vineyard with a tasting of the famous Franciacorta wines. Later head towards Milan Malpensa Airport.

ISEO LAKE

Iseo Lake, also known as Sebino lake, is the fourth largest lake in the Lombardy region of Italy and offers sublime landscape. Located between Bergamo and Brescia it is a lake where the natural landscape is well preserved and allows an interesting natural experience. Visit of Crespi d’Adda, a genuine and picturesque village. This is a nineteenth century industrial city created by Crespi Family around their cottom mill. The village of Crespi d’Adda was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 as one of the most well-conserved industrial villages in the world. Departure by private boat for a relaxing an interesting cruise on the lake to explore its three islands: Montisola, San Paolo and Loreto. Circumnavigation around Loreto, the smallest island of lake Iseo, and it is a privately owned island. View of the other small island of San Paolo, owned by the Beretta family, who export weapons all over the world. Walking visit of the fishermen village of Montisola, one of Europe’s largest lake islands, home to old fishermen’s villages and castles. There are about 1800 residents and  faces the town of Iseo.  Along its slopes and on the lake side there are 11 villages connected to each other through narrow  streets, where just public busses and motorbikes are allowed to drive: cars are not allowed, with the   exception of public utility cars.    

BOARIO TERME

Boario Terme is a famous spa area situated at the beginning of the mountains of Camonica Valley. Day spent in this marvelous SPA with different kind of treatments including two thermal and one external heated swimming pools, hydro-massage, sauna, Turkish bath, experience showers, Kneipp pool, ice waterfall, and salt room where the high concentration of iodine in the air benefits the respiratory system.    

MALPAGA CASTLE

The Malpaga Castle, with its undiminished beauty and inestimable cultural significance, represents one of the most important architectural landmarks of 14th century Lombardy. It is surrounded by 300 hectares of cultivated fields within the Serio Regional Park Area. Once the historical residence and stronghold of valiant warlord Bartolomeo Colleoni, captain general of the Republic of Venice, today it is a timeless and charming place, whom main features are the great interior rooms frescoed by the Renaissance painter Il Romanino.    

CASTELLO BONOMI ESTATE

On the slopes of Mount Orphan, a jewel in a wonderful treasure, you can find Castello Bonomi, the only Château in the Franciacorta area. The Castello Bonomi estate takes its name from the original Art Nouveau building designed by the architect Antonio Tagliaferri at the end of the XIX century. Enjoy a guided visit of the antique wine cellar of Castello Bonomi and of its vineyard with a tasting of the famous Franciacorta wines.
