Multidisciplinary Meeting
The Event “MOSAIC – Patient-Centred Approach and the Need for Multidisciplinary Treatment” was held in Wien (Austria) at the beginning of May 2018. Congress Lab managed the meeting in a very innovative way, in fact it was different from other scientific ones due to the massive use of technologies (interactive movies, robots and iPad). The Presidents of the event were the Professor Alberto Zanchetti from Italy, the Professor Yacov Reisman from Netherlands and the Professor Claus Franz Vogelmeier from Germany. They will have the coordination of the scientific board for Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Sexual Health and Pain Field.
Scientific Rationale of the Event
Medicine plays a crucial role in care by offering services and solutions with appropriate pathways that can substantially change the morbidity and mortality profiles of the managed diseases. The objective of the event is to explore a patient-centred approach considering different therapeutic areas involving specialists from Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia, where the therapeutic approaches could be very Country specific. This is the reason why there is a need to have an international overview that shows an enlarged and complete vision of the patient. Physicians will manage many multi-morbid patient profiles, going deeply in the multifactorial and complex nature of patient care. Each patient profile will represent a different clinical challenge to each specialist. The combination of these interwoven viewpoints, representing the complete patient management, will be the final goal of the patient-centred care. Different clinical conditions and the related comorbidities will be faced through an interactive sharing of contents in order to let the attendees play active part and be “directors” of the event itself. The real challenge will be to have a complete vision of the patient in all his aspects, integrating concepts from the different therapeutic fields creating the entire Mosaic.
