Start by discovering the most important sights of the “Eternal City”: the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, with Bernini’s splendid Four Rivers Fountain; Piazza di Spagna, over which hovers the celebrated stairway (the Spanish Steps); Piazza del Popolo and its characteristic “twin” churches and the Colosseum (entrance included), that has become the iconographic symbol for the Capital. Rome is also a shopper’s paradise, You will have time for shopping through the trendiest and most exclusive boutiques of the city center.

The route then crosses Umbria region, known for its gastronomic jewels characterizing the whole territory. Drivingalong the “Strada del Sagrantino”, the land of Umbrian wines You will visit of an historic cellar and tasting of renowned red wine Sagrantino DOCG with local appetizers. Then continue to the medieval town of Perugia to discover its magnificent art and historic highlights. The city, of Etruscan origins, is rich in art and monuments, including its huge bastions, the 15th century Palace of the Old University, the Cathedral and Priors’ Palace. The lodging will be provided in a holiday farmhouse in Marche region, which is the ideal place for those who wish to enjoy a moment of relax and comfort surrounded by the Montefeltro hills. Included the entrance to the wellness centre and the pools. This quiet and peaceful resort is perfectly located and allows You to visit the nearby beautiful towns of Acqualagna, Gubbio and Urbino.

Depart on an excursion towards Acqualagna, a small village world known for the sweetness and the flavour of its truffles, absolutely worth tasting! After enjoying a typical lunch Your next stop will be the city of Urbino, a must for those who want to plan an in-depth cultural tour of Italy. An attractive hill-town famed for the Renaissance court of Federico da Montefeltro. The city center has UNESCO World Heritage status for representing “a pinnacle of Renaissance art and architecture”.

The tour ends in Gubbio, a picturesque town with well preserved medieval walls and monuments. There are plenty of Gothic style palaces and cathedrals, traditional in their designs and distinct rooftops. Most of these buildings were built in the 14th and 15th centuries and were originally inhabited by rich merchants.

Day 1: Rome

Arrival at Rome Fiumicino Airport and transfer to the city center. Check in and overnight in Your 3* selected hotel centrally located.

Day 2: Rome

After breakfast private city tour of Rome, considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Afternoon at leisure for individual visits or for shopping. Return back to the hotel.

Day 3: Rome - Perugia - Frescina Farmhouse

Buffet breakfast at the hotel. The route goes across the famous “Strada del Sagrantino”, the land of Umbrian wines. Visit of a cellar with wine tasting. In the afternoon transfer to Perugia and time at disposal for individual visits. Check in and accommodation at the Frescina Farmhouse in Cagli. Dinner at the farmhouse or in a nearby restaurant, according to the seasonal opening of the restaurant.

Day 4: Acqualagna - Urbino

After breakfast transfer to Acqualagna, a small village world known for the sweetness and the flavour of its truffles, absolutely worth tasting! Visit of a truffle lab and tasting. In the afternoon arrival in Urbino, birthplace of Italian Renaissance and of the painter Raffaello Sanzio. Time at leisure for individual visits. Dinner at the farmhouse or in a nearby restaurant. Overnight in Cagli at Frescina Farmhouse.

Day 5: Gubbio

After breakfast head towards Gubbio, a picturesque town with well preserved medieval walls and monuments. Morning at disposal for individual visits. Transfer back to the Frescina Farmhouse and afternoon at leisure to relax. Dinner at the farmhouse or in a nearby restaurant.

Day 6: Frescina Farmhouse - Rome

After breakfast time at leisure to relax at the Frescina Farmhouse. In the afternoon transfer to Rome. Check in and overnight in Your 3* selected hotel centrally located.

Day 7: Departure

After breakfast check out and transfer to Rome Fiumicino Airport.

ROME

Ancient capital of a great empire, born and expanded along the Tiber river since the ancient times, Rome developed during the centuries, especially in the Renaissance and Baroque period, with a rich heritage that has given the reputation of “the world’s biggest open air museum”. Half day guided city tour by minibus and together with an English speaking guide. The tour includes the most important sites of the “Eternal city”: Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Navona Square, Spanish staircase and the Colossem with entrance included.

THE "STRADA DEL SAGRANTINO"

The “Strada del Sagrantino” is a route between the land of the renowned Sagrantino DOCG wine, in the hearth of Umbria. The landscape is enchanting with hills, vineyards, olive groves, medieval castles. Visit of the winery “Cantine Adanti”, one of the historic cellars of this area, covering 40 hectares of land. Tasting of 6 wines with a little taste of local cheese and cured meats.

PERUGIA

Perugia is an ancient enchanting town with five historic districts enclosed by the Etruscan walls. It offers magnificent art and historic highlights to the visitors, such as the huge bastions, the 15^th century building of the Old University, the Cathedral and Priori Palace. Time at disposal to visit the city centre, the famous panoramic gardens, the fortress built by Pope Paul III in 1540.

FRESCINA FARMHOUSE

Frescina Farmhouse is a resort in Marche region, surrounded by Montefeltro hills, quiet and peace, in the perfect location to visit the nearby beautiful towns of Gubbio, Urbino and Assisi and to relax thanks to its wellness centre and the pools. This proposal includes the entrance to the wellness centre with the heated indoor pool, hydromassage, Kneipp bath, gym, sauna & one treatment of your choice (Barn, Cloud or Thalassotherm). Moreover in July and August the Frescina Farmhouse opens its 4 outdoor pools.

ACQUALAGNA

Acqualagna is a small village famous for the truffle trade. Here visit of the “Aqualagna Tartufi”, with more than 30 years of experience in truffle sector. The raw selected truffles are processed according to ancient techniques ensuring the maximum authenticity. Tasting of truffle products such as crostini with truffles, meats and cheeses, some of them aromatized with truffle, local wine. Typical lunch at the Aqualagna Tartufi with drinks included.

URBINO

Urbino is a real treasure on a hill, with a historical centre named World Heritage site by UNESCO thanks to its history and beauty. It has ancient origins but the first documents telling of it appeared only in the 3^rd century b.C. Surrounded by a long wall of brick and adorned with sandstone buildings, Urbino was the “cradle of the Renaissance”. Time at leisure to see the city center with streets running up and down and with its historic buildings.

GUBBIO

Gubbio is one of the most beautiful cities of Umbria and has historical highlights such as the Cathedral, its main church where you can admire the works of the greatest artists of the 16^th century. In the scenic and panoramic Piazza Grande, the main square, You find Palazzo dei Consoli, the symbol of the city, in Gothic style. Outside the ancient walls there is a Roman Theatre, stage for classical performances in summer.
